Phenomenal! That's the one word I'd use to sum up my experience. I had heard great things over the years but had never been here. Well while back visiting I happened to be staying very close by so asked my sister if she wanted to go. SO glad we did! They only have valet parking which wasn't a problem and also was free. We made reservations online since we were going at noon on a Saturday when they opened. It didn't seem like we needed them after the fact but who knows. Our service was great. I had the seafood egg rolls which were sooooo good. I'm still thinking about them. My sister had the lamb chop breakfast so it came with breakfast potatoes and Gouda cheese grits. Yummy! It's your typical black brunch place so the ambiance was as expected, not bad though. I absolutely recommend and can't wait to come back!

Can't believe I haven't written a review on this place. Food every time I've been has been excellent . I've had the chicken and waffles. The catfish and grits. We always do the carafe mimosa. Service was ok, not great. Ambiance is decent. I think it's same chef as toast. However I liked the food here better. It's similar. Only went to toast once but my particular dish that day was not great.

Met a friend for brunch and I like this spot. Upon entry into the parking lot, your vehicle is valet parked. I normally don't choose this option because they can head crack you with the fees. Not here, you can tip to your preference and they accept cash or PayPal. We did have to wait a couple minutes even though we had reservations but the wait wasn't too long. We were sat and our waitress came almost immediately to take our drink order and gave us an appropriate amount of time to look over the menu. We had the fried shrimp as our appetizer. They were jumbo and fried to perfection. I believe they are battered in cornmeal-not my favorite BUT these were delicious and well-seasoned with a butter sauce drizzled on top. My entree was the fried chicken breast and wing, macaroni and cheese & sweet potatoes. The Mac and cheese was so good and creamy & my chicken was juicy and the skin had a fantastic crunch to it. The sweet potatoes seemed to come from a can but were okay. My friend had the fried whole wings, Mac & cheese with greens. The chicken and Mac were perfect but her greens were a bit too vinegary. Nonetheless, we had a really good time. I was unable to finish all of my food and took the rest to go. I had the leftovers for breakfast and it was sooooo good even reheated!

My husband decided to celebrate his 30th bday here today and when I tell you the staff, food, and ambiance was amazing! It started with Shandra, the host was so great and answered all of our questions. Our waiter was Paige, she was so sweet quick and detailed oriented! And the manager, Meka was the great as well. We ordered the catfish and grits and strawberry shortcake French toast. We went at a great time and will be coming back soon! Thank you all for an amazing experience.

Visiting from out of town, so glad this place was open. The staff is polite, the hostess and my waiter were both very welcoming. My waitress helped me select a few options that she recommended. I ordered the seafood dip, honey lemon pepper wings,Mac and cheese, and a bowl of gumbo. It was all freshly prepared, the portions are good, it was all delicious. If you enjoy fresh food , you'll enjoy Roc South Cuisine.

This place is so cute! It's located in a strange location, but I appreciate the fact that I don't have to deal with the typical Atlanta business experience to eat here. We had lunch Thursday at 12 PM and the place wasn't too busy. We were quickly set at a table and the waiter came very quickly. Our food and drink orders were quick and we thoroughly enjoyed our options. You have to try the seafood dip, while it's a smaller portion, the dip and bread were fantastic. We also had the wings and honey pepper shrimp. I wouldn't recommend the wings, overall they lacked flavor - the shrimp were really good. We ordered salmon pasta, the grits and braised ribs, and a crab cake. All of our food was great.

10/10 simply put just go don't think about it don't hesitate. Don't ask around. I'm here to tell you just go and do yourself a favor and try this place out ASAP. I love this place so much. I can't even explain the joy I have typing this message right now. The food is so good. I mean it is absolutely delicious. The flavors, the crispiness of the fish and the chicken the sauces that come with everything everything is crafted perfectly. I honestly cannot put into words how good this establishment is. We sat at the bar just to make it quick, and the server was absolutely amazing. She took her time. She explained things to us. She gave us suggestion. She even gave us a taste test of some of the side dishes. Like other places in Atlanta, this restaurant is kind of small however, the aggravation of being overly crowded with table goes away as soon as your dish is handed to you. One good thing I like about this place is that they do have an outside patio to sit down so during the spring and summer months it opens up just a little bit more because seating is available outside. We went during the evening so it was pretty dark outside and I have to tell you the ambience in this place was absolutely amazing. It was well lit, but not overly in the music was just right so that you're not yelling to speak to the person next to you. I love this food so much. I'll be back tomorrow.

Yep! Nailed it! The best soul food I've had since moving to the area. Perfectly seasoned and balanced. Music was a vibe. Happy hour margarita was on point!

We hosted our team building brunch on Juneteenth and decided to support a black-owned restaurant on that day. We decided on Roc South. I have been a patron since they opened and have always had a great dining experience. This time was no different. My colleagues and I enjoyed our food and the service was outstanding. Even with our large party, there was no wait on food and all the orders came out correctly. They all commented on the vibe of the restaurant and many said they would come back. Thank you to the manager who was so professional and accommodating in booking our reservation and the entire staff on that day. Again, I highly recommend dining here. Favorites: Seafood dip, Gumbo, Fried chicken and waffles, Lobster & grits (I'm sure the catfish or shrimp and grits are good too), Steak and eggs

This place only has valet parking. I got here a few minutes before they opened and other cars just parked so I decided to park too. Valet attendant came to the front and was asking for folks keys. I think everyone ignored him. People come before a venue open so you need to be ready. I sat at the bar and the stools are comfortable and I like the TV that is upfront. The bartender is nice and the staff are good. I ordered the braised turkey wings with collard greens and yams. The turkey wings are large and messy. They are sitting in a broth/juice. The wings, greens, and yams are all cooked to perfection and taste amazing. I did add for some hot sauce which wasn't that hot. I really like the food. I noticed that my bill had an 18% service charge. I am curious to what this is since they also ask for a tip and suggest 20% for tip. I assumed the service charge was not for the staff that waited on me and I gave a tip. What is the service charge for? Why not increase all menu prices by 20% and get rid of that line on the bill?
